As VP of Operations, Andy engages in day-to-day operations, including revenue, medical cost, physician engagement and integration.
Prior to joining JustWell Health, Mr. Perez was the Long-Term Care Team Manager at Humana where he built relationships with providers throughout Miami-Dade County, increasing their provider network by 25%. Previously at Jackson Memorial Health System, Mr. Perez served as a Data Analytics Specialist and led a cost efficiency campaign that focused on providing primary care services to high-utilizing self-paying emergency department patients via the Jackson One Program.
Mr. Perez is a graduate of Florida International University with a BBA in Psychology and holds an MBA in Healthcare Administration.
As Vice President of Business Development, Mrs. Dolgos oversees physician recruitment and network development. She is also responsible for creating and directing internal and external multifaceted marketing campaigns for physician practices.
Prior to joining JustWell Health, Mrs. Dolgos was Director of Marketing for IMC Health. She was responsible for all marketing campaign initiatives. Previously, she was Senior Operations Support Manager and Marketing Specialist at Preferred Care Partners, Inc.
Mrs. Dolgos graduated from Nova Southeastern University with a Masters in Business Administration. She also has a Bachelors in Business Administration from St. Thomas University.
As the Director of Clinical Services, Ms. Mewshaw collaborates closely with the medical director to ensure clinical oversight, maintain medical compliance, foster professional development, manage quality, and facilitate continuing education, all with the aim of enhancing patient care standards.
Ms. Mewshaw also leads the development efforts at RenuWell, a project dedicated to introducing innovative wellness services into primary care offices, thereby enriching the overall quality of patient care. Her dedication to ongoing education and professional growth is underscored by her pursuit of a PhD in Nursing, reflecting her deep-seated commitment to research and the advancement of the nursing profession. Having recently relocated from New York City, Ms. Mewshaw brings a wealth of experience in integrative health care and chronic disease management, significantly enhancing the organization’s healthcare offerings.
Ms. Mewshaw earned her Master’s degree in Nursing from LIU, where she honed the skills and knowledge that have defined her successful nursing career. With a solid foundation and an unwavering commitment to excellence, Ms. Mewshaw continues to make substantial contributions to the nursing field, with a focus on improving patient outcomes and advancing healthcare practices.
As Director of Human Capital, Mrs. Burgos is responsible for the overall daily administrative management of Human Resource Operations across all JustWell Health practices. She manages employee relations, recruitment, onboarding and employee retention. Scarlett also ensures that all benefit administration, as well as the planning, implementing and evaluation of employee performances, policies and procedures, run smoothly. Her primary goal is to implement best practices in hopes of fostering a positive workplace culture and environment to strengthen employee development.
Prior to being a part of Just Well Health, Mrs. Burgos worked at Preferred Medical Plan, a Florida based HMO and Physicians Associates, for 15 years overseeing more than 500 employees. As a dedicated Human Resources professional, she facilitated employee record keeping and management, conducted annual health Open Enrollments, organized job fairs within the healthcare community to successfully deliver talent acquisition, and fostered a positive workplace culture to strengthen employee development.
As Director of Provider Relations, Ms. Salgado is responsible for the coordination of initiatives between JustWell Health and our physician partners.
Prior to joining JustWell Health, Ms. Salgado was an Administrator at IMC Health responsible for the day to day center operations. As an Administrator, Ms. Salgado managed processes ranging from: clinical coding, billing, member enrollment/disenrollment and physician engagement.
Mari began her journey at JustWell Health less than two years ago and now serves as Lead Administrator, not only for the Kendall location, but all six practices, where her responsibilities include supporting all day-to-day operations and management of our medical practices. Mari ensures proper patient care is met daily by all her staff. Before joining our team, Mari gained valuable experience as a Patient Benefits Coordinator and later transitioned to a Marketing Manager role at CareMax, formerly known as IMC Health.
With a strong passion for leadership, and the guidance of an exceptional team, Mari is dedicated to creating a collaborative and efficient work environment. Outside of her professional life, she is a proud role model for her two daughters, instilling in them the virtues of hard work, integrity, and compassion.
Mr. Pozo currently serves as Chairman and CEO of JustWell Health. Previously, he was the President and Co-Founder of Preferred Care Partners one of the largest privately-owned Medicare Advantage Plans in Florida until its acquisition by United Healthcare. Under his leadership Preferred distinguished itself as one of the premier MA plans in Florida; with membership over 50,000 and annual revenues in excess of $700 million.
In 2004 Florida International University inducted Mr. Pozo into its College of Business Entrepreneurial Hall of Fame. The same year Mr. Pozo was selected by the South Florida Business Journal as Heavy Hitters in Healthcare; followed by the South Florida Healthcare Awards for facilities and expansion growth in 2005 and Distinguished alumnus for Florida International University’s College of Business Administration in 2008.
Mr. Pozo is a former Florida International University Board of Trustees appointed by the Florida Board of Governors. He has previously served on numerous public and private boards. He is also a founder of the Florida International University College of Medicine and a Scholar Athlete program donor.
Mr. Pozo is a Graduate of Florida International University with a BBA in Accounting and a Florida Certified Public Accountant.
Mr. Pozo currently serves as President of JustWell Health where he is responsible for overall performance including: operations, company finances, marketing, and strategic growth and development.
Mr. Pozo is Co-Founder and current Managing Partner of Pozo Capital, LLC., a fund manager in the entertainment and healthcare sector. Mr. Pozo is currently Managing Partner of Pozo Opportunity Health Fund LLC, a Managed Healthcare Investment Fund.
Previously Mr. Pozo served as an Underwriter for Regions Financial Corporation working in the Commercial Middle Market and Public Interest sectors. He graduated 1st in their Retail Leadership Development Program created to find and train the future leaders of the Regions Financial Institution.
Mr. Pozo is a Graduate of Florida International University with a Bachelor’s in Finance. Mr. Pozo was inducted into the Florida International University’s Entrepreneurship Hall of Fame in 2012.
Manuel A. Niebla currently serves as Chief Operating Officer of JustWell Health, where he oversees the day-to-day operational functions of the group and leads execution of the group’s strategies.
Prior to his current role, he founded SunSouth Health Centers LLC, a full-service medical and wellness facility under contract with a Health Maintenance Organization (HMO), and served as its Director and Chief Operating Officer for three years until executing the majority sale of the business to a Tampa-based managed care company.
Prior to focusing on his entrepreneurial endeavors, Mr. Niebla was an Investment Professional at Cisneros Corporation, an international, single-family office, where he led treasury and investment banking operations. As part of his responsibilities, he managed a broad range of investment initiatives within various asset classes, including public securities, real estate and private equity.
Mr. Niebla has a passion for public service. He currently serves on the Board of Directors of Banyan Health System, a not-for-profit healthcare organization dedicated to advancing the health and well-being of the South Florida community through integrated primary and behavioral health care services. He also serves on the Board of Directors of the FIU Alumni Association, and as a member of the Economic Development Council of The City of Coral Gables. His interest in public service began in college when he served as a White House Intern and he continues to remain active in local politics today.
Mr. Niebla is a Graduate of Florida International University with a BBA in Finance and holds an MBA from The University of Notre Dame.
As Medical Director, Dr. Perez leads the quality assurance programs and clinical initiatives aimed at improving member clinical outcomes and quality of life.
A Graduate of the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey. Dr. Perez completed his residency in family practice at Southeastern Medical Center and has been practicing medicine in South Florida for over 30 years
Dr. Perez is the former Chairman of the Agency for Healthcare Administrations Florida Board of Osteopathic Medicine. Dr. Perez is Board Certified in Family Medicine by the American College of Osteopathic Family Physicians and in 1998 received a certification in Geriatric Medicine.
Born in Cuba, Dr. Perez immigrated to the United States as a young boy, settling in New Jersey with his family. He attended Long Island University and earned a Bachelor of Science, while majoring in both Biology and Chemistry. In 1984, Dr. Perez graduated from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey. He completed his family practice residency at Southeastern Medical Center in Miami and received his board certification in Family Medicine. Shortly after starting his private practice in 1987, Dr. Perez qualified and passed his Geriatric Board exam, an area of medicine that had always interested him and one that he felt was under-represented in the community. His interest in treating the older patient population stems from the extensive size of his family and the many experiences he had as a young man with his older relatives.
For the past 30 years, Dr. Perez has proudly served the Hialeah-Miami Lakes community with the best quality and personal care available. His approach remains the same, “Keep it simple, and don’t over medicate.” He is a strong believer in preventative care and feels that nutrition and exercise are the best forms of medication. He tries to set an example for his patients in the way he cares for his own health.
Dr. Perez has been married to his wife Madeline for 27 years and has three sons, whom he credits for keeping him young and on his toes. Dr. Perez has coached travel baseball for many years, loves to landscape and is a culinarian. His latest interest, and one that he says stimulates him both physically and mentally, is Brazilian Jiu Jitsu.
Mayra Chanza
Administrator
Mayra has spent the last 12 years working alongside Dr. Perez and his team. As the office Administrator she oversees all day-to-day operations of the practice. From handling the coding and even being able to draw blood, Mayra ensures that proper patient care is met daily by all her staff.
When Mayra is not in the office, she loves being with her three children. They enjoy watching movies and TV shows together, as well as spending time at the beach. Her oldest daughter works as a Vet tech where they get to spend time with rescued animals at the clinic. Her youngest daughter is attending college and is studying to be a nurse. Her son is pursuing his passion of MMA fighting.
Yolanda Martinez
Patient Care Coordinator
Yolanda has spent the last seven years working with Dr. Perez and his team, but has over 11 years of experience in healthcare and the medical office setting. As a Patient Care Coordinator, Yolanda is the first person the patients see when they arrive to the office. In addition to dealing with patients in person and being the one to call all patients via phone, she serves as the liaison between her office and the hospitals and specialists. She is responsible for processing their insurance information, obtaining medical records when needed and making sure their medications are requested and filled.
Yolanda has been happily married for 35 years to the love of her life, Armando, and has two sons. She has a passion for cooking and gardening and loves to spend time with her family and their dog, Bella.
Jenniffer Farinas
Medical Assistant
Jenniffer is new to the team, but brings over 20 years medical experience to Dr. Perez and his office. As the Medical Assistant, she assists Dr. Perez with their patient’s vitals, handles all EKG’s and X-rays, but more importantly, she has mastered the art of phlebotomy, aka drawing blood, and is able to administer other doctor approved injections. Jenniffer is also responsible for contacting her patients with their lab and radiology appointments, as well as entering and maintaining up-to-date data on all patient demographics in the office’s medical records system. She also maintains all the office supplies and equipment that is needed to for patient care.
Jenniffer has been married for over 14 years. She has three children and one grandbaby. When she is not in the office, Jenniffer says running is her favorite daily cardio. She absolutely loves the ocean and enjoys boating and traveling to different islands.
